Remembering Hurricane Irene

Hurricane Irene, which made landfall two years ago this week, is a reminder to New Yorkers that hurricanes can and do affect New York City. Before a hurricane, determine whether you live in one of the City's six hurricane evacuation zones, and prepare your Go Bag and an Emergency Supply Kit with items you may need in a hurricane, including water, canned food, and a flashlight.
