Don't Let a Quake Rattle You

Although earthquakes are rare in New York City, the tremors felt by New Yorkers last August remind us to be prepared. If you feel shaking, take cover under a solid piece of furniture away from any windows or hanging objects. Aftershocks often follow an earthquake, so stay put until all the trembling stops.
