Each year in the U.S. approximately 10,000 people are treated for fireworks-related injuries, according to the NYC Fire Department. More often than not, it's the bystanders that get hurt. Possessing or exploding ANY fireworks is illegal in New York City, and can result in a $10,000 fine or six months in prison. This Fourth of July, leave the fireworks shows to the pros.
