Engage Your Elders in Emergency Preparedness

May is Older Americans Month, so OEM reminds New Yorkers to consider seniors in your buildings when developing disaster plans. As you map out emergency exits and meeting points, ask older residents about their plans. Use this month to meet your older neighbors and understand what they might need in emergencies.
