Preparing Means Sharing

For the final week of National Preparedness Month, OEM encourages New Yorkers to get involved in the City's preparedness efforts. NYC Citizen Corps Council maintains a list of volunteer organizations that help people prepare for and recover from disasters.
If you are interested in affiliating with a group, do so before a disaster strikes so you can receive proper training.
