| This past weekend a Nor'easter dropped almost four inches of rain on the city. The National Weather Service issued flood advisories for all counties and warned New Yorkers that streets, underpasses, drainage areas, and other low lying spots would flood first. If you live in a flood-prone area, clearing off catch basins before a storm can help increase drainage and reduce flooding.
