Boo, It's a Mylar Blanket

Believe it or not, Halloween can help you remember what to put in your Go Bag. Just think about what you need when you go trick-or-treating: a flashlight, comfortable walking shoes, a cell phone, a neighborhood map, and a bottle of water, among other portable items. And if you are struggling to decide on a costume, consider using your Mylar blanket to be a ghost. There is nothing wrong with being prepared and festive at the same time!

Spread The Word, Not The Germ

Flu season is here, and the sniffling and coughing you hear all around town should remind you to get a flu shot. Everyone six months and older should get a flu shot every year. The vaccine is especially important for pregnant women, children under five, seniors age 50 and older, and residents of long-term care facilities. Use the Health Department's flu widget to find a vaccination center near you, and spread the word about flu shots by sharing the widget on your website.
